Since having the house built we have more than doubled the size of the courtyard as we have found this the perfect space for eating outside and having BBQ's. It overlooks the swimming pool which is the location of the sun until last light and so a great place to view the magnificent sunsets you can enjoy.

The Terrace provides magnificent views towards the sea and is a cool space to enjoy during the heat of the summer. The terrace can be accessed from both the living room and the Master Bedroom as well as giving an alternative access to the swimming pool.

The house is surrounded on 3 sides by gardens which contain various fruit trees, palms and flowering shrubs. The gardens benefit from an irrigation system.

Cabrera

You will find our house to be located in Cabrera. This is an exclusive small village of individually designed residences located in the foothills of the Sierra Cabreras

Cabrera features 2 restaurants, the first 'restaurant Riad' is 200 yards from our house and offers a varied cuisine. There is also 'Los Pastores' which is a restaurant in a traditional moorish building. Cabrera also has a Tennis club and petanque courts and many other social activities.

10 minutes drive away is the small town of Turre which has supermarkets and other local shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a very popular market on Friday's where local grown fresh fruit and vegetables are available.

A further 10 minutes drive away is the ancient town of Mojacar perched on the hillside. Mojacar playa offers miles of beaches with all the usual facilities

For those requiring a more extensive shopping experience, there is the city of Almeria with many of the well known shopping outlets including shopping malls.
